Kasey is a lovely senior girl who has demonstrated both courage and spirit in her ability to adjust to her world suddenly turning upside down.  Kasey was a long-time companion to an elderly man who was forced to move and could not take Kasey with him.  When she first arrived, it was hard on all of us. Kasey would sit at the front glass door and stare out with only one thing on her mind: going home. Since her arrival she has grown confident and maybe we could even say 'happy'? She has such a sweet and friendly personality and now enjoys walking with volunteers when she is not greeting shelter visitors. Kasey is on the older side of 'senior' but she is very healthy and in great physical condition.  She would make a great in-home companion for a senior or a family who is looking for a low-maintenance, easy-going, and sweet companion with whom to share their days. Kasey has miles to go yet, and she is the first one who will tell you so!  Seniors make wonderful pets and she would be a great pick.
