Reba has resided at RCHS for over a year.  She continues to be well-loved by both staff and volunteers and remains a free-spirited and affectionate dog, despite being kenneled for such a long period of time. Reba is a beautiful, healthy, and friendly dog who is ready for her forever home.  She has been a good sport through it all, but it is time for her to move on. She continues to enjoy the play yard and is very pleasant to walk on a leash.  She is cordial with most dogs and will engage in play bowing and play gestures with other like-minded dogs while on the walking trail.

Reba’s need for exercise can be met with daily walks or light play sessions out in the yard.  She is very good at entertaining herself with a toy on the run, which does not require vigorous exercise from her companion.  She just loves the company! With love and attention from her owner, along with teaching her a few basic commands, Reba will be a wonderful companion and family pet. She just needs that special someone to discover her and take her home.

UPDATE:  Reba is now in foster care w/ a loving family. She is described as playful, very sweet and affectionate, and eager to please. She lives with a large male dog, two cats, and a couple who refer to her as their “Princess.” They say she is well-behaved, doesn’t mind short periods of crate time when they are away from the house, and that she has adjusted beautifully to family life. Though happily ensconced in foster care, Reba has earned her stripes and is now ready for that final journey to a permanent and loving home.
