Tober is young lad. He does very well on leash and likes to explore outside. He can be nervous and barky at first meeting, but will warm up quickly with some soft words and a gentle approach. The first time I met him staff got him out for me and I just talked to him on the way out of the shelter to walk. By the time we got outside, he jumped up on me for hugs, eye contact, and some conversation. He likes toys and is a bit goofy. He likes to have something to do, so activity and mental stimulation will be important for him. Tober would do better in a home with older children because he’s a strong (but not really big) guy and can get energetic when nervous or in his comfort/playful zone. He is food motivated so training with treats would be manageable. He seems okay with some dogs (he came in with another one), so if you have one at home it’s best they meet prior to adoption. A family who can offer him safety, love, and activity would be great for him.
