Cheka  was once a little girl to be reckoned with.  We had to win her trust, and over time we have made a lot of progress.  She is a petite little girl and adores her shelter walks.  She is a bit intimidated by the big dogs but has learned to “be nice” to others her own size if they pose no threat. She is still wary of strangers but if approached in a friendly, not overbearing way, she loosens up and lets her guard down.  Cheka needs a bit of patience and encouragement. Once settled in a trusting relationship and a secure environment, she will be a wonderful little companion for a couple with no children or perhaps a senior.
